Transparent Fire Retardant Varnish for Wood 1.5 kg – ANTIFIRE WOOD VARNISH

ANTIFIRE WOOD VARNISH is a two-component, transparent, water-based fire-retardant varnish, intended for the protection of interior wooden surfaces. The product forms a thin intumescent film which, in case of fire, delays ignition and flame spread, providing a high level of safety without altering the natural appearance of the wood.

Attention: The product is not water or moisture resistant. After complete drying, the surface must be protected with ISONEM LIQUID GLASS (solvent-based protective varnish).

Application instructions

Surface preparation:

• Wood must be dry, clean, free of dust, oils, dirt, or residues.

Mixture preparation:

• Supplied as a two-component set (A+B).

• Mix component A for 3–4 minutes, then add all of component B.

• Homogenize for 3 minutes, avoiding air entrainment.

• The obtained mixture must be used within max. 40–45 minutes.

Application:

• Apply with a brush, roller, or spray, in 2–3 coats.

• Waiting time between coats: 18 – 24 hours.

• After complete drying (the next day), it is mandatory to apply ISONEM LIQUID GLASS as a water-repellent protective coat, in 2 layers, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between them.

Application conditions / Limitations

• Application: perpendicular coats

• Substrate moisture: dry surface

• Consumption: 0.300 – 0.500 kg/m²

• Coverage: 3 – 5 m² / set

• Application temperature: 15 – 20 °C

• Final cure before exposure: 72 hours

IMPORTANT

• Surfaces must be protected from rain, water, mechanical shocks, and impacts for 72 hours after application.

• Do not apply outdoors without additional protection with ISONEM LIQUID GLASS.
